3D viewer “BS Contact“ used in daily routine in the heavy industry since 5 years

Berg near Munich, December 11th, 2014

“BS Contact” from Bitmanagement integrated by customers in industry solutions / Expert system for crane operator 365/7/24 robust in service / Networked Intranet-solution based on ISO standard format X3D / Third dimension reducing failure in steel-coil handling and saves time / Partner IPKS applied and implemented the solution for various customers in the German steel industry.

Bitmanagement Software GmbH located near Munich, Germany, is developing “Interactive 3D Web” – software. Focus is on the one hand side the product line of the 3D engine ”BS Contact”, that is used cross-platform for various operating systems (old MS XP to new iOS) and cross-browser for various internet-browsers as C++ plug-in – with special versions as “BS Contact Geo” for big CAD and GIS data-visualization online. On the other hand a second product line for workflow tools is developed with focus on “BS Content Studio”, that re-uses 3D geometry for easy composing, animation and publishing 3D content optimized for various platforms.

IPKS is offering innovative software solutions for the intra-logistic and the warehouse management as well as integrated solutions in the area of product management and production process control technologies. In this application solution a real-time information system has been implemented in existing cranes in hot strip rolling mills that is networked with data bank information. The displays in the cranes are showing position information to the coils and additional logistic information. After skepticism at the beginning on the part of the crane operator the error ration in steel handling could be reduced and time could be save due to applying third dimension real-time in the displays.

IPKS has developed the application and is putting it on the market

Bitmanagement is noticing more and more the trend, that besides this sort of expert systems increasing demand for holistic solution can be recognized on customer side. The customers is aiming for integrated 3D information systems where all PC-user of a customer Intranet – e.g. an industry facility – are getting access to declassified data (from the gate keeper to the management) in order to facilitate and accelerate the communication in the company but also even further with their contractors and customers.
